Yur-noi.Komi-Izhems. Arkhangelsk Province. Early 20th century
"Yur-noi" - is a headdress of a bride. It is made of thin red cloth, decorated with seed-bead embroidery, buttons and mother-of-pearl pieces. This headdress was put on two days before wedding ceremony. Also it was covered with a polar fox skin. Komi-Izhems believed that it protected a bride from evil-eye.
