Curtain «Alaman». Turkmen. Persia, Northern Khorsan. 18th century

This unique curtain is from the general A. Veretshagin’s collection. It was granted to the museum and had tragic history and its proper name which is recorded in the museum inventory. It is called Alaman and in Turkmen it means “horse robbers raid”. Craftsmen depicted the scene of cattle and prisoners lifting.
